Double magnet pivoting design allows the mount to be placed anywhere on the Altwork desk. The metal plates included allow you to mount your phone and to install the phone mount on non-ferrous surfaces, such as the desk arm, allowing the phone to be within reach, but less distracting. We have also found these useful for holding earbud cases, metal framed glasses, pens and more.

Great Device

It is versatile I can even use this on my boat.

Nice to Have, needs more integration

Noting the mount works by way of magnets, its important to note that for wireless charging, one will need to consider how to integrate their charging solution into this mix. For an IPhone 12, I placed the magnet near the bottom of the phone so that i can place it on my stand and also place it on a charger pad if needed. The internal magnet of the IPhone is not powerful enough to use the stand on its own if the stand holds the phone upright at an angle/vertically.
